So my Dad called us a couple weeks ago and asked if Ari and I could come stay with him while my Mum took a trip home to New Zealand. Believe it or not, Brad hates being separated just as badly as I do. I just mentioned it to him thinking that it would never happen.Well .... follow me... I'll come back to this story.Brad has been applying/interviewing for internships. We didn't think that it would be this hard. He's been offered the internship from every person he's interviewed with! Crazy! We couldn't agree on which internship he should accept. For most law schools, once you accept an internship you can't back out, even if you get offered another one that's better. We prayed and got different answers (granted, we were praying about different internships). I told him that the Lord wouldn't give us two different answers, so his must be wrong. :) Well, while he was away from home he got a phone call telling him that they wanted him for the internship (the one that he wanted). He was so excited that he accepted on the spot, w/out consulting me. He had about a 20 min drive home to think about how he was going to explain himself to me. So when he gets home, he tells me that he accepted an internship and apologized profusely for jumping the gun. I was a little hurt/upset, but all I could say was 'I really hope you made the right decision.' Out of the blue, he tells me that he's decided that he's going to send me and Ari home to stay with my Dad and see our family. My Mum is leaving right before Brad's finals so it's perfect timing. He'll be able to study w/out interruption. ... I'm not that clueless. I just started laughing and told him that his plan worked. I wasn't mad at him and he has TOTALLY REDEEMED HIMSELF! So yeah! I get to go to WY/UT for a little vaca. while Brad studies to death.
Moral of the story: I should get upset more often. Maybe i'll get a trip to Europe out of it! :)

Hey Mel...that is great! When are you going to be home? I will be in town April 20-May 11. And we are planning a baby shower for Mandy that third week in April. So let me know if you are going to be there! I would love to come and see you and your cute little Ari.
Where is the internship? Is this your husband's last year of school? I am so excited for you to go home. It's amazing how much more you appreciate it when you live so far away. Good ol' Evanston, Ari is going to have the time of her life.
im glad that you get to go home. i love going home :). im so glad you found us now we can keep in touch and watch eachothers kids grow up. can't believe your daughter is so big. can't even remember when we last saw you guys but i remember your daughter was just a baby. shes adorable.
i'm happy you get to go back for a little vaca...CONGRATS to you and BRAD for him getting that internship, he sounds like a winner!

I don't think we need help with anything, but I would love it if you could come. Wouldn't that be so fun?! I haven't seen you forever!!! I'll definitely give you a call when I get into town.

Hip hip hooray!! When are my girls coming home????? I'm going up to the airport right now and staying there until you come!...that's how excited I am. Okay, so maybe not. You just better not be coming while we are out of town. That is April 13-19...so, is that when you are coming because I will fall on the ground and throw a temper tantrum if that is when you are here. Brake it to me slowly!!
So I was hanging out with your sis today and she told me you were coming in town...so I decided to leave to Texas the same time! How does this ALWAYS happen? I think I'm going to miss you again by a day! DANG IT! When will you be in Utah?

Mel, a little more info would be good! You've got me guessing when your coming home, and where did brad get his internship? Yea for him...congrats!

Getting mad definately works!! I got a European cruise to Italy, Greece, Turkey, and Egypt last year from it. Nah, we did the cruise for our one year anniversary. Europe is pretty. Have fun at home!!!
